Congress to vote to cut funding for PBS childrens programming
So after posting that I don't let Sarah watch tv yet I saw this on a Baby Center board I post on. I think it's important to have this programming available when I feel she is ready to start watching.

In the next week to 10 days, Congress may act on a subcommittee recommendation to slash 45% from funds for public broadcasting. A cut this drastic threatens the whole future of public broadcasting and includes zeroing out support for PBS children's programming including Sesame Street, Dragon Tales, Clifford, and Arthur!
In order to make sure that our babies do not grow up without the reassuring and educating voices of Elmo, Big Bird and Grover please take action: call your Congressmen and ask them to restore PBS funding to its present level or sign the petition at MoveOn.org

I agree I don't think they should cut children's programs at all.
