I never had one growing up and we are considering one for our yard here. So I'm clueless when it comes to everything.

We have a smaller back yard. Does anyone with a small yard have a set - any pictures?

Can you talk to me about the quality differences - different woods? Etc?

Who installs it? Do these places have people who install? What does that generally run? DH is NOT handy so he definitely couldn't do it and doesn't have time to do it anyway.

I can't speak much about a small yard, but can tell you that those things are a LOT bigger than I thought.

DH and I went shopping in January and looked at Wood Kingdom and Creative Playthings. We found that CPT had much better quality (just by looking at how it was put together, types of bolts, supports, etc...). The prices were about the same, but CPT offered more "freebies" than WK.

Both places offer delivery and installation in their cost. You just set a date and have the space ready to go!

The set we got measures 16ft x 21ft. To me, it didn't sound so big on paper, but seeing it in the showroom made me realize how HUGE it is! Our final cost after discounts and sales tax was about $1700. We got this set with a built in picnic table, rock climbing wall, and the monkey bars across the swings on top. (Plus a few other extras):

I totally forgot about creative playthings. I haven't seen that store in years...

Is there anything I should stay away from?
