Console table/Entry hall table
I've been on the hunt for one has drawers that I can use to put keys, sunglasses, cell phone etc into. I found 2 at Home Decorators that I really like and I've been trying to decide which to get. I was just getting ready to order one and double checking the measurements. They both say they ar 30" high. When I held up a tape measurer to that height, it looked kind of low. I think I was looking more for a table that is 36" high. Does it exist? If you have one of these tables, what is the height of it? I'm attaching pics so you can see them -- I think they are what I want, but why are they so low?

Re: Console table/Entry hall table
the highest one I've seen so far is 31" high, maybe it's standard?
I think 30" would be high enough. A bar stool typically measures 30" high...

Most are 30" from what I have found also. The one I ordered is 30".

Re: Console table/Entry hall table
I've been on the hunt for one of these too. I think the 30" should be ok, but if you really want higher, maybe you can look for a "server" type piece. I've seen some that I've considered for my entryway. I think it would totally work for your purpose. Most I've seen don't even look like they are meant for a dining room and I think it might be higher if that's really important to you.

Re: Console table/Entry hall table
Thanks everybody. I searched and searched last night on PB, JCP, Raymour & Flanagan, etc and it seems that all the console/entry tables are about 30" high. My mom had one that was taller and I guess that is what I was thinking of. Since 30" seems to be the norm, I guess I'll order the one I like after all.

I have the one you have too, but in my den! It's really sturdy and made from good material. JCP had sent me the wrong color at first, and I liked it so much and the price was right, so I kept it and put it in my den. I get lots of compliments on it.
