Contractor Recommendations for a "doghouse bathroom"
Hi all,
I have a cape and we want to put in a second bathroom on the second floor. We can't afford to dormer or half dormer but need the extra bathroom. Has anyone ever done a "doghouse" bathroom? Who did you use? Even if you didn't , still looking for contractor recommendations.

We had a cape and did a full dormer.
Used and were very happy with Forman Construction in Massapequa - 516-798-4114

I haven't done what your asking about but I highly recommend Paramount Home Improvement, they did a living room expansion, garage conversion masonry and extensive landspacing. When we dormer we will use them- great team.

I don't really know the cost b/c we did EVERYTHING at the same time - framing/sheetrock/flooring/finishing/fixtures/appliances/etc.
To ballpark I wanna say between 75 and 125K for the full dormer. It's such a big range because I really have NO idea bc we pretty much knocked the house down except for 3 walls and rebuilt.

When you do it, take out a HELOC.
