Convertible car seat
Jackson will be outgrowing his infant car seat soon, but isn't ready for a forward-facing seat, so I'm looking for a good convetible car seat.
What brand do you have?

DH just installed the Britax Roundabout in our car yesterday. It was between the Marathon and Roundabout for us, we went with the Roundabout because we have a tiny car...
Can you buy an extra base for it?

I just bought the Triumph 5 yesterday because now we needed a 2nd car seat. It got the same reviews on Consumers and was 1/2 the price!

Can you buy an extra base for it?
Convertable carseats don't come with bases. They are car seats that you sit backwards facing for kids under 20 pounds and 1 year of age. Once they at 20 pounds and 1 year old, you can put the seat forward facing.

You don't use a base with the convertible seats, they go right in the car with the latch or seatbelts, whichever you choose to use. We have a Britax Roundabout for my car and a Evenflo Triumph 5 for DH car, both were very well rated my consumer reports.
