Converting to gas question

We're converting to gas tomorrow. The company we're using said it should be done in one day. Me and DS are staying at my in laws for the day. Do you think by the evening it'll be ok to go back to the house? DH seems to think it'll still smell and I might need to keep DS at my in laws one more night

Converting to gas question

We had is done when it was pretty cold out. So other than it being cold all day long, it was fine to stay in the house that night. No smell

Same here, DH and I were home all day. We had it done in winter and DD had an early dismissal so we weren't really able to go anywhere anyway. She did stay with a friend because the house was freezing.

There was no smell, you'll be fine.

we stayed in the house that night.
But our carbon monoxide detector went off at dinner time. We had to call the fire department and get the house aired out. The kids thought it was great

It was from the blow torches being used downstairs.
