Cooking a turkey breast- Need help quick!!!
OK, I already ask a ridiculously moronic question on this board today... I hope I'm not about to go two for two.
I'm cooking a turkey breast. It's a really heavy turkey breast, just over 8 pounds. The cooking time for an 8 pounder should be about 3 hours, according to the packaging.
The timer popped after an hour and a half.
It can't possibly be done, can it? Should I cut into it?

Yes, this would be the best way to tell. What temp. is your oven set at? I doubt it is done already. You can stab it and see if the juices run clear, but I'd personally leave it in for a while.

The meat thermometer is showing 165. I'm cooking it at 350. I really don't think it's done. I think I got a defective pop up thingy.
