Cool vs Warm Mist Humidifiers - which do I need?
What's the difference between a warm mist humidifier and a cool mist one - besides the obvious that one lets out cool mist and the other warm mist? I am looking for one that I can use year-round in my son's nursery. His nose gets stuffy at night so I thought one of these things could help. If you have one and you like it, can you please recommend it? Thank you!

I've always read cool mist are better b/c the warm mist ones could harbor bacteria.

Plus, the warm one has very hot water in it, so once DC is mobile, they can pull it on top of them. With a cool mist humidifier, they just get wet.

I never used either. Our bedrooms are all carpeted, and the idea of anything, warm or cold, shooting water particles out and onto/into the carpeting had me twitching with the thought of mold.
But thats just me and my paranoid brain!
If I HAD to choose, I would go cold.
