Cooper won't stop chewing up pillows and blanket!
We're so fed up!! He's in his terrible 2's but he keeps chewing up pillows and shredding (no exageration) blankets... he totally ruined our comforter. Bitter Apple doesn't work. Any suggestions on how to break this habit?!

Unfortunately I don't have any realistic suggestions, but when I was home with Bruno for a few months he stopped all of his bad behaviors. Good Luck with him

My American Bulldog loved my comforter as well. I crated her until she was 2.5 because she kept doing it.

We crate him during the day while we're at work, so I don't know how well that would go over... besides, he actually likes being in his crate when we're all just relaxing... it's like his bedroom.

Do you take him for long walks after you get home? I know if I crate Piper and she doesn't get her midday walk from our neighbor-which is rare-she is more rambunctious. You can only crate them so long and IMO a full work is too long without some sort of walk or break.

I know, we feel so bad leaving him in there for that long, but we have no other choice and we dont' have anyone who we trust enough to come take him for a walk. Of course when we come home we let him run around in the backyard for a while. It's usually those moments where he is relaxed and laying on the couch and we leave him to go do something in another part of the apt. for 2 mins when he gets in the most trouble.

Bostons are such senstive souls. Sounds like he just wants your FULL attention when you are home. I'm not sure I have any advice, sounds like you're doing all you can. I know we have a little basket for Piper in our family room with all her bones and toys, if she gets bored she usually goes and drags another toy out. Every night I collect up her gear and put it in the basket so the nect evening she has her something to do, which is drag out her stuff.

hot red pepper, sprinkle some flakes onto it-he'll never do it again
or the juice from a can of jelopenos (dilute it with a little water and spray on like bitter apple)
