Anyone been?
I'm a sucker and some how agreed to go for our 1 year ann. (He owes me!)
We are looking to go to the Hall of Fame on Sat but wanted to plan another activity more romantic for Sunday. Any ideas?
Also, any recommendations on where to stay or where not to stay are greatly appreciated!!

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
I went when I was little. All I remember is it being a REALLY long drive and that there was some killer ice cream place in the town. It's a definite must visit for any baseball fan.

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
I went about 5 years ago, we enjoyed it, not sure about romantic places though. I believe we stayed in a name hotel (holiday inn or best western or something) that was about 15 minutes from the Hall of Fame

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
I never been but I have stayed at a really cozy hotel in Onenta (ap?) called Christopher Lodge. I believe it is about 30 min from coppertown.

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
I don't think there is really anything else to do in Cooperstown.. but there are proabably some cute B&B in the area. If you wanted to take a drive you could go to Saragtoga Springs or Howe Caverns, I am not sure how far they are exactly, but I don't think its more than 2 hours.

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
we stayed in a Holiday Inn Express about 20 mins from the Hall of Fame. It's really hard and $$$ to get a room in the town of Cooperstown on Hall of Fame Weekend. A lot of the BB&B want a 3-night stay, so it adds up.

Re: ??? Cooperstown ???
Don't have too much advise, cause I was not into the place at all when I went. But, I remember recently the food network aired a $40 a day episode. Cooperstown
