Cop Vent
So my DH was up at the Shop n' Stop getting food and he saw one of those mini vans stopped at the entrance letting elderly people out.
DO you know a Cop gave the driver a TICKET

eta: ive had a couple of those types of encounters with them.. they just want to make you feel so bad sometimes and use their "power" for bad.

Thats like when my dad got a ticked for parking in a handicap spot with his handicap pass hanging in the window BUT when they gave them out they use black market to write in the exp.date and it wore away so my dad was waiting for a new one when he got the ticket at STOP AND SHOP!!! Mind you my dad is the type of person who usually doesnt park in a handicap spot cause someone who really needs it might come.

the cops in my area are the worst - don't get my mom started on them. they are soo busy driving up and down blocks giving tickets for expired inspections or registrations. give me a break!

Not ALL cops are jerks. I agree some feel they need to be "super" cops, probably from some inferiority or low self-esteem complex but quotas are a myth, there is no such thing. Let's face it, if you don't want a ticket obey the laws, don't let your inspection or registration expire. My husband ran into a one of those burning houses in Oyster Bay a few weeks ago, you just never know when you'll need them so let's respect the fact that although they may write irritating tickets, they do put their safety on the line to keep us safe.

Im sorry but Cops do give tickets to give tickets. Like the time I got pulled over for doing nothing. I asked the cop what I did and he said "nothing" He looked at all of my stuff and told me to have a good night. no tickets cause I had nothing to get a ticket for.
Also My DH got a ticket for having "illegal tailights" when my husband told him they are D.O.T approved the cop said straight out "oh a wise guy huh" and gave him the ticket anyway.
