It really is so sad and heartbreaking. And I agree with a PP who said he did seem to really be trying to get better. He went into a rehab program and seemed to surround himself with positive people. So sad that his addiction was able to beat out the hard work he was doing. My heart breaks for his loved ones and Lea.

So sad. Such a young man. He was trying to deal with his addiction. I feel terrible for his family and poor Lea Michele she must be devastated.

I think I'm so shocked because I forget he had addiction problems. He has such an innocent baby face coupled with the clean cut character he plays. He's just not who you envision to have an addiction issue. It serves as a good reminder that anyone can be afflicted with this disease. Poor guy. He will be missed.

I have been so sad about this since I heard the news yesterday morning. From everything you read about Cory, he was supposedly such a nice, ego-free guy who really was trying to get his life on the right track. He was very open about his history of addiction, and his most recent treatment. I just feel terrible for his family and friends. He really seemed to be so loved by everyone.

I'm devastated. This guy had the best parts of his life in front of him (marriage, kids, promising career, etc.) Addiction is a terrible thing. My heart goes out to his friends and family. As a "gleek", I really hope they deal with this properly on the show or just cancel the show all together. I can't even fathom how Lea Michelle is dealing with this right now.

An the list goes on, and it won't stop.
Every time I hear ANOTHER celebrity died young (and I will presume it was drug related for the moment) I keep thinking "Maybe THIS one dying will help the NEXT one from dying".
Not holding my breath.
Drugs have a such a strong hold on people. Once you get addicted its SO hard to stop, I really do get that. You WISH they had the capacity to stop...but anyone thinks its that easy is SORELY mistaken.
And we will now wait for the next kid celebrity to die from drugs. I wish I was wrong.

so so sad. I was honestly shocked by this one. I knew he had his struggles but I hoped his last run at rehab got him back to where he needed to be. Many thought and prayers with his family

Many prayers for Lea, she must be heartbroken...
ETS: He was 19 not 13. The media really needs to work on their facts.
Yeah, I read he started using at 13 and was in rehab by 19.
He just came out of rehab again not too long ago. Poor guy. So so sad...
