Cost - DR

Is $3K for the two of us for 4 night at Excellence in Punta Cana, DR a good price?

I was hoping to spend less, but I also know Excellence is awesome.

Thoughts?

Sounds like alot...I did 7 nights in DR for about that much.

We stayed at Melia Caribe Tropical, and it was very nice.

Have fun! I loved it there!

sounds like too much we went last year to dr for 7 day s and spent about 2400 total for both of us including air. but secrets excellence is a more expensive hotel that could be the reasoning.

We spent 7 days last year in Punta Cana for $2K but it was a different hotel.

We paid $3400 for 7 nights at Excellence. We had a honeymoon package too. Try contacting [email protected]. He's the TA we used. Phenominal!

That is definitly too much!
We just went over new years eve for 7 nights 8 days and paid 3800 for 2 people and we even stayed in the swim up suite - they are rooms that your back door/sliding glass door opens out to a pool.

ETA - we also stayed at Excellence PUnta Cana

We are going the first week in may and are staying 5 nights and it is about 2400. Before I book it though I am going to check with a travel agent.

For that price, you should be staying for a week.
