We have no idea, what would it cost to have an in ground pool maintained? Opened/closed for the season, and other kinds of professional maintenance?
Any tidbits you can give about your experience with IGPs appreciated.
Also, is it true that if you have a high water table you may not be able to put in an IGP?

Re: Cost of a company to maintain your IG pool? Plus other questions about in-ground pools.
We just moved into our home in July and have a IGP. I also believe we have a high water table (this is according to our landscaper). We just paid $237 to have the pool closed. The base price was $200. Chlorine isn't that much and neither is shock (we went through alot until we firgured out how much cholrine). To have someone clean it weekly was like $80 and I said NOWAY to that one. We have an automatic pool vaccuum that actually works really well that DH's work partner gave him because he had 2. The previous owners left the regular vaccuum and dh uses that when the pool turns green. It is more time consuming because if you the let pool go at all it turns green. The other thing is our electric bills were high because of the pool fliter running. Opening's I think run the same as closings. HTH
