Cost of building a deck
How much do u think it would cost for a smallish deck? 8x10
If anyone had a deck built recently could you share who you used? I have no idea how much something like this should cost. Thanks

Some of the cost depends on what type of materials you use to build the deck - trex or wood? Wood rails or trex rails?

We did treated wood in 2006 - 16 x 33 and it cost us $3500 I think. If you do a deck go with the material that requires no maintenance...Trex....Spend the extra money.

This won't help a lot, but 7/8 yrs. ago, my DH added a 6x8 deck, using the new "plastic" material. He, being a builder, did the work himself. The materials back then, cost about $1500. Mary
