Cost of IUI with Sonos - PCOSers
Hi girls:
I have PCOS and was a poster on this board in 05-06. AFter about 14 mon of tests, trials, and enough internal sonos to make you want to never want to BD again I was very lucky and got preg with my son in Dec 06 and he was born in Aug 07. He's only 6 mo and I am panicking about going down the PCOS IF track again...and this time without good enough insurance to cover it like last time. I lucked out that Metformin/Clomid and IUI worked but I only had to pay co-pays. What are estimated costs for a round with Clomind and IUI. I know the drugs are pricey and the IUI is cheap but from what I remember the sonos are what added up. Any best guesses on costs? My home equity line of credit is going to get abused I am sure.

Re: Cost of IUI with Sonos - PCOSers
I just looked at my insurance statement, and it looks like they RE office charges $225 for a sono. I don't know what the clomid costs without insurance, but I really don't think its expensive. I know you can get it from walmart for less than $10 without insurance. The IUI itself (sperm washing+procedure) was $350.
I hope this helps... Good luck!

i know my dr charges an office visit/sonogram fee is around $470 but when I had to pay out of pocket when I didn't have insurance, they charged me $225.
