Would anyone mind sharing how much they paid for PGD? Specifically if they were at LI IVF.
thanks

You pay a specific company. PGD is mostly done when the embryologist pulls one cell from your embryo and sends it out to a lab. It depends if you're doing since gene testing or testing all chromosomes. I paid $3-5k can't remember exactly.

Yes... I was going for testing for a single gene mutation. It was going to cost us 3200. If we did a full panel of testing it would have been closer to 5000.
Please see an MFM and get a second opinion before making a decision. We found out from our MFM it wasn't necessary and it saved us a few grand!

The separate lab is (usually) called Reprogenetics. That's a popular one that's often used.
MFM = Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor who you see once you are pregnant if you are high risk.

Re: Cost of PGD
MFM- like OP said is a maternal fetal medicine dr. They work with high risk pregnancies. You don't necessarly need to be pregnant to see one though. My initial consult with my MFM was before I was pregnant to review the genetics report and talk about how high risk my pregnancy was and whether PGD testing was necessary.

Re: Cost of PGD
Oh...ok...thanks for the info. All of our genetic testing came back as ok. The reason our RE recommended it was because we have had 3 losses (2chemicals and 1 mc at 7 weeks).
Any MFM recommendations in the Huntington area?
