Could it get any worse??Long vent- need hugsUPDATE on our total cost today
SO yesterday the toliet overflowed so we called the plumber to come today. Then last night our facuet broke, causing a flood in the kitchen but hey the plumber would be here. Now the hot water heater went. The plumbers think we are nuts- we keep calling them.
Plus we have my parents and grandma staying here for the past two weeks, my mom isn't speaking to me since I don't want her filling my refrigerator with useless leftovers to the point we can't even see inside(my mom's fridge at home is legendary for being truly gross), and this baby is due any minute.
DH and I did plan a day ALONE together to see a movie and have lunch before the baby comes but that is shot now. I have just had it!
UPDATE: with our "home warranty" that is supposed to cover all these problems, our grand total for the day is over $950. All of which would have been avoided if our relator had told us a about an optional upgrade to the policy for $80. We are seriously considering suing him.

Your luck will change soon. It has to!
I think you should grab your DH and take him for a walk. Don't worry about finding time for a movie or lunch. It sounds like the two of you need a stroll around the neighborhood with NO ONE else. Don't let anyone "invite" themselves.
And when you call the plumber again, have your DH tell him that his wife is ready to give birth and needs a shower NOW!!!

AWWW! Im so sorry! I hope you find a minute to have some alone time, you need before you become PARENTS!

I agree with Juliet. Seriously, ask your parents to run some errands for you, even if they are entirely useless... can never have too many paper products in a house and then grab DH and leave for an hour. Don't tell anyone where you are going, just go.
MY FIL loves to run errands so whenever he is getting on our nerves we send him out... heck, even the contractor he works with does it
Can your Dad wait for the plumber and handle it?
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this now and to have to entertain an entire house full of people
Come on Grace, get here and give your momma some joy

We took everyone's suggestions and left the house together, ALONE- after Pizza and a movie I feel tons better.
