Re: Cow Harbor Ladies- how did we do?

I did just over 59 minutes. I was super excited. Not bad for having a baby almost 6 months ago!

I seriously got tears in my eyes at mile 5 when the guy was calling times and I knew I would make it in under an hour.

Of course, my husband who "hates running" and doesn't train for the race does it in 44 minutes.

Re: Cow Harbor Ladies- how did we do?

This was my 1st time doing this race I did it in 55mins 23 secs Chat Icon I couldn't believe it, and I even had to stop for less then a minute on the huge hill. I was about 3/4 up and I thought if I pushed myself anymore I wouldn't of been able to complete the race so a few secs of speed walking deff helped me. I hope next yr I can make it up Chat Icon

Congrats to ALL!!

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I did the same thing at the same spot when I knew I was going to break an hour the first time after having kids!

I'm torn. I did really well. My fastest 10K this year and since kids (50:43), but I so wanted to break 50 minutes. I would think about it all the time. I wish I could go back and do miles 3 and 5 over again! I'm still happy!

great job to everyone!

ETA: Azad - I saw you getting into the portapotty this morning. I just didn't think it was the appropriate time to make conversation LOL

Great Job ladies. I just broke 1 hr. I was a little disappointed really wanted to do it under an hour, but now i have that as my next goal. Such a great, great race. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Congrats ladies! I was in the hair salon this afternoon and a woman came in and said she was exhausted from running it this morning. It must feel amazing to finish it.

Re: Cow Harbor Ladies- how did we do?

Everyone did so great!!! Chat Icon

For those who didn't break the goals they wanted there is always next year and it will be even sweeter Chat Icon

I contemplated trying to break an hour for a hot minute but between James St and the wall I hit at mile 4 I decided that would be a bad idea and just moving my feet forward was enough for me Chat Icon

Erica - you totally should've said hi!!! Chat Icon It would've been so nice to meet you.

Just had to add this...mind you I forgot to turn off my ipod at the end Chat Icon

A - you were on your way in to the bathroom...LOL

I don't know what happened with my nike+ - my race is gone...but it was working the whole time and I paused it at the end...but it's not on my ipod. this is so frustrating. I was so looking forward to what my slowgeek graph looked like. So much that I pushed myself up James St with that in the back of my mind!!!!

Re: Cow Harbor Ladies- how did we do?

Congrats everyone! I was so glad the weather was nice and not like yesterday morning!!

I finished in 58:27, and my goal was to finish in under an hour so I am very happy! I improved by 7 minutes over last year!

I had a great time and am already trying to decide what my goal for next year will be!
