CPAs - Question about the CPA Exam

Which section should I conentrate on/study and take first?

I'm trying to figure out in which order I should prepare for this.

I'm using the Becker CDs

I am still working on passing the exam myself, BUT everyone is different.

Some people like to start off w/ something easier, like BEC, to help get them in study mode.

I personally, concentrated on FAR and REG first, because I know they are the two I am most likely to fail. I would rather get the hard ones out of the way first and then sort of "coast" my way through the end.

Especially because it is winter now and I don't mind putting the time in to study when it cold and dark out.

Come May - June, I will be singing an entirely different tune!

Well when I took the exam the four parts were

ARE (tax and governmental)
FARE (financial accounting and reporting)

Law
Audit

I took law and audit first as they were the easiest for me. I spent alot of time studying for FARE and failed once. Then I was on my last time, If I did not pass FARE, I would have lost my credits for Audit and Law and that was NOT happening. I passed the FARE part but it was VERY stressful

My advice, take the hard part first, whichever you think is the hardest

Good luck, I know how hard the ecam is but it is so worth all the stress and studying when you get that license, that was one of the best days of my life...to see that all my hard work paid off

When I took it a long time ago i took FARE and ARE together then law then audit.
