Re: CRACKS IN BASEMENT FLOOR
This is not unusual. I'm assuming our talking about a concrete floor? If yes, the house foundation settles and this can happen. As long as it's not excessive I would not worry about but I would point it out to an inspector.

They can be filled. There are lots of products at HD or Lowes. It's a good idea to fill them because sometimes you can get moisture and/or insects that come up through the cracks. If you have the opportunity, fill them before installing flooring.

Re: CRACKS IN BASEMENT FLOOR
it can be a problem if the house is on a high water table. your inspector or engineer should be able to let you know if its a concern. they are common and can be raparied in most cases.

Re: CRACKS IN BASEMENT FLOOR
AS long as they have been isnpected and its safe you can fill them no prob.
Just get some cement mix from the depot, mix it with water in a spackle bucket, fill the cracks so they are nice and level...then you can paint the flooring, carpet, etc whatever you have in mind.
