Just a bow..
A simple bow.
I have wired ribbon with fall leaves on it. I want to put it around my lightpost outside.
Right now, said ribbon is lieing in a heap on the floor.

Re: Crafty people..HELP!
Just do a tie like you are doing shoe laces.
Then "push" up the looped to give them a shape.

Re: Crafty people..HELP!
For a real bow--- you leave enough ribbon for 1 tail then pinch there w/ your fingers. then you let however much ribbon out and then turn it and curve it back in- then flip the ribbon over (only at that point) then do the same thing the other way back and forth until you have as many loops as you want. Then I usually take a piece or plain old ribbon or wire and fold it in half then bring the tails up thru the middle and hook it around it - then pull it tight. sorry if it doesnt make sense- it's not as hard to do as one would think though.

no offese, but I KNOW how to make a bow....and this was confusing
I would just make it like you tying your shoe and then "poof it up"

None taken- I said it could be confusing and I didn't have the time to sit down and figure out how to make it sound right in plain english--- i have an infected tooth that has to be pulled and am in excruciating pain. Anyway, I was offering the 2nd option since I saw someone offer the shoe lace option and thought that might not be the type of bow she was looking for...

They do- it's called the bowdabra. It's really not hard though- you just have to keep going back and forth in a figure 8 shape and leave enough for a tail on both sides...
