Cramping 3rd trimester

I am 33 weeks today and the last couple of days I've had what feels like AF cramps. It is worse at night when I lay down but when I am standing it isn't so bad. Also my back has been killing me!!! Are these Braxton Hicks? Do you think I should call the Dr?

I think its probably normal...probably just your body getting ready...but since you are still a little early, I would give the dr. a call just to be safe....
ETA: Ive only had menstrual like cramps once during my pregnancy and it was at around 29 weeks and they turned out to be contractions that were changing my cervix(they did not hurt that bad at all)..thats why I suggest calling just to be safe...

I just had this at 26 weeks - doc told me it was growing pains. You should give your doctor a call just to be safe though.

I had that too starting around 32 weeks. My doctor told me it was most probably ligamints stretching and not cramping like i thought. Never had any issues.

Give a call to your doctor. It might not be anything but that's how people have described contractions to me so I'd call just to be on the safe side.

I would call your doctor. Usually with BH, the cramping subsides when you change positions. What you are describing sounds like contractions.

I am 34 weeks today, I started having cramps on friday. I went to the OB (for my regular visit) and they hooked me up to a monitor and said I was contracting. Very irregular but they were there. I was not dilated but she felt the babys head. She put me on bedrest until to day and then told me to take an easy until I'm 36 weeks. I go back on thursday morning so we will see. I'm still having cramps and braxton hicks.
