Cramping at 33 weeks
Hello ldaies,
I was just looking to see if any of you had any advice for me.
I am currently 33 weeks along with twin boys and today I woke up with what felt like AF cramps. I had a Drs appointment anyway so the did NST test and they saw some contractions and from there they sent me to the hospital to be monitored further. I was hooked up the machines for about 3 hours and again they saw sparce contrations. They did a test to see if I was having preterm labor and it came back negative.
I guess my questions to you are:
1. Has anyone ever experieced any of these symptoms? What happened?
2. Are these cramps an indication that labor will be coming soon?
3. Did anyone elses morning sickness start again around this time?
Sorry for all of these questions but I am at a lose and I have to say I am extremely uncomfortable and I am looking for a light at the end of the tunnel...
Thank you ladies.

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
1. Has anyone ever experieced any of these symptoms? What happened?
Yes, I was monitored at high risk and sent to the hospital for addt'l monitoring several times in the last 3 weeks of my preg (I had the babies at 33 5). I had the FFN 2 days before I had the babies to see if I was going into labor - it was negative. I was the 1% chance of it happening.
2. Are these cramps an indication that labor will be coming soon?
When I went into labor, it felt like very intense AF cramps. Up until that point I felt no contractions even though I had a few here and there according to the monitors.
3. Did anyone elses morning sickness start again around this time?
No, I didn't have that symptom
HTH. Congrats on getting this far along. You're def. in the homestretch.

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
sounds like you are almost there. I never had cramping in the end like you are describing. Did I get MS at the end, yes I did, but it was only after I ate a big meal, I felt really sick. Try to eat smaller meals throughout the day. Congrats to you...hang in there

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
I never felt one contraction (I only had back labor) so I can't help you there. What I do remember very clearly was the first tri symptoms coming back in the third tri - oh joy! Very nauseous, tired, etc. It went away after a week or two. You're doing great - 33 weeks - hang in there!!!!

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
Well, your doctor sent you home which is a good sign in and of itself.
I did experience a lot of cramping in the 3rd trimester. Just keep hydrated, and try to stay off of your feet as much as possible. My doctor wanted me to stop working at 32 weeks (which I didn't stop until about 35 weeks but I have a desk job and know my body better than him!)
I don't think its an indication of labor coming soon cuz I had it alot and didn't deliver until 37 weeks.
REST and STAY HYDRATED!!!

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
Never had cramping but at 34 weeks after a sonogram and NST they told me I was having contractions and needed to go to the hospital the next two days and get steroid shots. I got those, and while at the hospital the intern though i might be in labor, but i was not. It was a long weekend. They decided due to some other issues to go forward with the c-section at 36 weeks and told me to stay off my feet till then.
33 weeks is a great accomplishment and I am sure your twins are fine. Just rest up as much as possible. The fact the hospital sent you home makes me feet they are not so worried.
And while I never had m/s with my pregnancy, I have heard many pregnant people whose m/s comes back in their last few weeks.
Good luck!

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
Thank you ladies for all of your help.
The heartburn and the morning sickness have been killing me these past of couple of days and as much as I want them to be here I know that it is better for them to cook a little more....
Thank you again.

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks
I gave birth at 29 1/2 weeks and I had no symptoms until a week before i gave birth but was never informed that these were symptoms from my doc.
I had diarrhea ( i think this is a major sign) Back pain- twinges My mucus plug came out (didn't know it was my mucus plug because i was only 29 weeks so i wasn't expecting that to happen..just thought it was discharge..sorry TMI
Looking back i should of been more on top of my symptoms but i was the only one of my friends who had kids and i didn't know about LIF.

Re: Cramping at 33 weeks.....More ?'s
My symptoms have been
crazy vomiting...almost like having a stomach virus...I can barely hold anything down..
Heartburn galore. I have been taking Mylanta for months now but it seems like even breathing gives me heartburn.
Leg pains as if I hiked up a huge mountain.
Lower Back pain that even laying down doesnt help me.
I cant wait for them to be here so I can feel some what normal again. I know it sounds so selfish and I hate to admit it but it is the truth.
About the mucus plug..how did you know you lost it? I have been having a lot of discharge the past couple of days/weeks so I am not sure what I should be looking for....
Also last night I felt as if something was stuck in there and but nothing ever came out....TMI
Thanks again ladies.

The mucus plug looks like a glob of snotty discharge..it looks like green mucus but a glob of it. I know completely disgusting..it looks like exactly what it is called. Now looking back i see that but at the time i was so early in my pregnancy and no one explained to me what to look for..i had no idea. My advise to you is if you don't feel right go to the doc each and every time. Also ask for the shot that helps the babies lungs develop faster.
