Cramps at 29 weeks-is this anything to worry about?

I am 29 weeks, will be 30 weeks Sunday. I started getting crampy yesterday-drank water, laid down, it stopped. Then around 7pm, it came back-low, my back is bothering me and the cramps feel a little like AF. I have been drinking more water and laying on my side, but it still hurts(in the front pelvic area). It is a constant pain and there is a little pressure down there.

Normally, I would just call the Dr. but I feel bad since it is X-mas. Is this just normal, like round ligament or is this something I should be concerned about? Is this something I call the emergency line about? TIA!

I'm almost at the same week as you. Generally, I've had aches all over lately. But for me, cramps only happen when I'm stressed or dehydrated. Its like that for me today too, but I'm guzzling water and waking up every few hours to pee and aside from insomnia, feel much better. I probably would call ob in the late morning if nothing worked to give me relief.

Re: Cramps at 29 weeks-is this anything to worry about?

At 31 weeks I've had this as well and I am noticing a change in my bathroom patterns so I think it may have alot to do with that. Definitely try to drink lots of water because I've ran into problems from not drinking enough Chat Icon so now I stay very hydrated! This week Ive had a bad stomach virus bug Chat Icon which seems to be going around. I had cramps so bad last week I also contemplated calling the doc but knew he would send me to the hospital (they always do at this point after office hours). And it was during the bad storm so I waited it out and sure enough it was a bathroom problem Chat Icon
If you start to spot or your cramps get worse there is no harm in calling the doc...its always better safe than sorry!

Thanks! I have no idea what Braxton Hicks feel like, but I was wondering if this is it. I am going to take a hot shower and see if that helps!

Hey Mich.....I have cramps too....sometimes they are when I need to drink more but usually have been coming when I get BH contractions.....I wouldnt worry but if it gets worse then you might want to call your doctor. Keep drinking and laying down if you have the chance. Chat Icon
