Crash shuts down Route 110
A serious motor-vehicle accident has closed southbound Route 110 between Gazza Boulevard and Conklin Street in East Farmingdale, Suffolk County police said. Two injured were being airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center.
Police could provide no other details, but called the accident "serious" -- and said the road was expected to be closed for "the next couple of hours."

I know I was stuck in the traffic today I saw the heilcopter and I saw blood on the road. I think someone was hit by a car

it was a pedestrian that was struck.
I was stuck in the traffic too. I hope everyone is OK

I saw someone being put into the helicopter, and blood was all over the place. I started crying.
