Crashing: Suffolk Hospital/Doctor recs
Hi Mamas, I'm crashing with a silly questions way way in advance. My dd was born in April at NS Manhasset. I love love love my doctor and the hospital was amazing. Having our daughter was a wonderful experience because of the people we dealt with.
Now we're most likely buying a home in West Islip. I hate the idea of not having the same doctor and hospital again but Manhasset is a long trip. I know Good Sam is in WI and there is nothing wrong with it but are there any other hospitals in the area? Also, does anyone loooove their doctor? I'm hping to find the warm fuzzy feeling again for baby #2 (who is not even in the plans quite yet, just looking ahead.)
Thanks for any help and a healthy and happy pregnancy to you all!!!

I gave birth at Southside Hospital in BayShore and had a positive experience. The labor and delivery nurses were awesome!

I love my OB. TO the point I was sad after I had my DS that I would not be in the office except for yearly visits.
I see Dr Antoniadis. He deleivers at Good Sam and LIJ Plainview.
There is also Southside in the area.
The only Drs I would suggest you stay away from is South Bay OB/GYN. You can find reveiws on here and I can let you know my personal stories.

I used to see Dr. Sarah Schwartz on Montauk Hwy. She delivers out of Good Sam. She's in a practice with her father, Dr. Robert. He doesn't deliver now. I've also heard nice things about Dr. Trivedi. He was a popular Dr when I had my DD in August.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Egner and Dr. Berlin in Islip. They deliver at Southside and my experience there was fantastic.

I 100% DISAGREE. My personal experience with South Bay has been very positive.

Re: Crashing: Suffolk Hospital/Doctor recs
Hated South Bay ob/gyn it's like a baby factory there. Loved Dr. Judge though. Had my first at good Sam switched to Stony Brook midwives for my second and delivered at Stony Brook. The midwives have an office in Islip Terrace on Sunrise so it wasn't that far to see them and even though I live in Amityville the 45 min trip to Stony Brook was worth it, way better than Good Sam.

STAY AWAY from SouthBay obgyn. If you need help getting pregnant for some reason they are HORRIBLE. I'm stuck with them this pregnancy because I tried to change too late in the game and they have mishandled too many things for me to ever recommend them, plus I know so many people who have left them because of various issues. Heard great things about Comprehensive in West Islip.

I hope no one takes offense to this, but my personal experience with Dr. Egner was 100% horrible. Going to Dr. Trivedi was a total 180.
