Crashing Your Board - Need Help with 1st Birthday Gift!

DH & I don't have kids and always struggle with what to buy our friend's kids for birthdays and other occasions.

I could actually use 2 suggestions if you don't mind ... both are 1st Birthdays for boys.

One for a very close friend's son, she's my sorority Big Sis and was a BM in my wedding

One for my best friend's son, we've been friends since we were 16 and we were eachother's MOH (I'd spend a little more on this gift - got her older son a rocking horse, but I'm not sure he ever used it )

Do they have a yard? Any outside toys? Outside toys are very popular, esp. this time of year, obviously.

Wheely Bug is super cute, google it if you don't know what it is. DD got one for her first b-day and played with it (while being held on by us), and at about 1.5 really started loving it when she could go on it herself. I like them for gifts b/c they're "different".

I would check what they have already. It might be a duplicate. It's hard to buy toys if you don't know what they have.

That's why I love GC.

I don't really know exactly what they have so I will definitely include a gift receipt in case its a duplicate.
