Crawling backwards...will he ever go forward??
DS has been crawing backwards for about two weeks now. He has yet to go forward. He gets on all fours...rocks back and forth and then drops to his stomach. I do whatever I can to entice him, but to no avail. My nephew skipped crawling all together, so I know its a possibility. But if this happened to your DC, when did they move forward?

DS crawled backwards for about a month before he started crawling forwards.

DS crawled backwards for a couple weeks before he figured out how to go forwards. It was a tough time, he was soooo frustrated. But once he picked it up, I have rarely seen him more delighted with himself. I don't even think walking was as exciting for him.

ok this gives my poor dd hope and im sure the op as well bc i couldve written this post myself op!
dd looks just sooooooooooooo frustrated bc i know she wants to go forward so bad but cant figure it out

same with Jacen. He's been doing it for a couple of weeks now and he gets so frustrated. I try to push against his feet to make him go forward but i think he gets more frustrated when i do that. 
Right now when he can't go forward, he sticks his butt in the air and just throws himself forward.  Kind of like a belly flop in water, except no water.
I'm hoping soon...

DS was a backwards champion! I think he did it for 2 months before finally going forward. He was up on all fours a lot, but even forward crawling typically starts on the belly.
