Crayola Factory in PA or Liberty Science Center
Anyone have experience with either. Looking for a day trip with the kids since we were home all last week. I also work from home so somewhat difficult to take a lot of days off.
I may even do both. Thoughts or experiences of either? We live in NJ so LSC is about 45 mins away and Crayola is a little over an hour away.
Maybe one on New Year's Day and the other on Friday.
Thanks

My DS went on a trip to Crayola Factory last month and loved it!
My DH did the lights for Liberty Science center and he said its really nice. I heard it's really cool, I'm about 20 minutes from there and been meaning to take him. It is pricey though!

Crayola Factory in PA or Liberty Science Center
I think liberty science center is better for older kids. We went on field trips in middle school and loved it.
I hear crayons factory is fun but my son is too young

Crayola Factory in PA or Liberty Science Center
we took my DS to liberty science center in april, when he was about 3.5. he LOVED it!!! they have a whole section for the preschool age kids- and at the time, they had bob the builder exhibit going on, too. they had an area where you can try out an escavator, which he loved... just a lot of cool stuff probably will be crowded though with all the schools off this week. we went on a random friday in april, and it was busy. so just be ready for that. they let you bring in coolers, so we took our own lunch in and ate at the tables there, which worked out well. have fun!!

How old are your kids? I have been to both and they are both good day trips. For crayola start at the top floor and work your way down. You need to be there when doors open otherwise it can be way too crowded.

Loved the Crayola Experience, I may have had more fun than DD Liberty Science is better for older (school aged) kids IMO.

Re: Crayola Factory in PA or Liberty Science Center
Thanks all. My boys are 5 and 3 so both may be good for them. LSC isn't too far either and with the Living Social Deal could be good for a half day.
Maybe will go to Crayola on New Year's Day.

We live Crayola and haven't taken them to LSC yet. Crayola has a lot to do and you could easily spend about 3-4 hours there. I have taken them myself before too. It's only about an hour maybe hour and 10 minutes. I would just to make sure they are open New Years day. I would be surprised if they were.

I looked it up and they are open. Actually, LSC is open too. Since there's a coupon for that I'll probably go soon, but Crayola Thursday (if we are all awake and feel well enough to go... LOL)
