Crazy Dreams

I'm 10w and over the past 4 to 5 weeks I've had random strange dreams but last night I dreamt that my baby's heart was slowing down/stopping. I did experience a loss with my first pregnancy earlier this year (at 8w) and since I was with an RE I have seen my baby every week starting at 6 weeks. I was released from my RE and had a sono with my OB at 9 weeks (so I've had 4 sonos). This is the first week I haven't had a sono and I won't have another till my 12th week. I'm thinking this could subconsciously be the cause of my dream. Anyone else have such a scary dream?

Re: Crazy Dreams

it is totally normal.

loss causes all kinds of stress throughout the pregnancy. so much easier said than done, but try and stay positive between each visit.

some people dont agree with them, but i bought an at home doppler (a cheap one), which i used at about 13-14 weeks until i could feel the baby consistently. i only used it like once a week just to hear the heart beat and then quickly put it away.

but it helped with the stress.

i still worry and im due in 5 weeks!

Definitely trying to stay calm and positive, while awake. Thus dream really scared me.
I was considering getting a doppler. It wouldn't help me now but at least in a few weeks it'll give me some security.

5 weeks... Goodluck!!! Chat Icon

Yes... I've always had lots of scary baby dreams. From funny to really gross.

Hang in there.... Worry dolls helped me when I was young... Sounds crazy, but you get 5 dolls which you tell your worries to out loud. The process helps you deal with your subconscious (I really don't believe the dolls had any magic to them, but I use the technique and tell myself out loud what I worry about to prevent the bad dreams).

Pregnancy actually causes crazy dreams. Something to do with progesterone, I think. Dreams are so vivid and strange when you're pregnant. There will be good ones and there will be bad ones. I'm sorry you had such a scary one. Hoping your next one involves Channing Tatum instead. Chat Icon

I had these!!! I think I actually have them somewhere in a box I recently got from my parents house. Might give it a try.
