Crazy little things our kids do that awe us.....

SweetCaroline made me think of this....

I woke up this morning and turned on the monitor and what did I see?

My little boy sitting up by himself for the first time!!!!!!

Come to find that DH saw this phenomenon yesterday and didn't tell me, but it was awesome!!!!!!

What ordinary thing does your DC do that just makes you melt?

Aw, he's growing up

Hmm...DD is such a fun age now that everything makes me melt. I do love how she's still obsessed with puppies, and if she hears one barking outside, she pants like a puppy

I adore that when he drops something he says "uh-oh" - doesn't even look up for a reaction...says it more to himself. Makes my heart melt.

I also love the way he waves to people - it's palm up fingers flapping. So cute!

Like previously posted, I'm pretty amazed that I stuck a spoon in ryan's mouth and without missing a beat he ate. So simple - but it really made me think, "hey, how'd he know what to do?!"

I love that Elizabeth claps when we say hooray!

In the morning when she and I are snuggling in bed after her bottle, DH comes into the room and he leans over and says hi to her, she reaches out with her little hand and caresses his face.

I love how when I go to pick up Athan after work, my mom sometimes is rocking him on the porch swing outside. I won't say a word... but as I approach he looks up, realizes it's me, and he gets his big gummy smile and starts pushing off my mom and reaches both chubby little hands to me I LOVE that he recognizes mommy!

Mine in the morning sings to his mobile and when I walk in he reaches out and waves at me then I get the best hugs every......god I love him

Lately its all the new stuff she is learning each minute it seems.
I love watching her count to ten- she uses her fingers and its so cute. She tends to skip the number 7 a lot- I have no idea why.
She is also starting to speak in full sentences- not always the correct grammer which can be funny too.
She has also learned to say, Mommy, kisses- when she gets in trouble. Works everytime

I'm with you, the sitting up in the crib all by himself is awesome! I remember the first time I saw him do that after a nap. He was pretty quiet though he was awake, so I went to see why he wasn't crying, and he was sitting up, playing with his stuffed animals. So cute!

I also love his "kisses". He puts his mouth on my cheek, holds it there a few seconds, and usually drools on me. Sounds gross, but it melts my heart every time. I'm pretty sure they are kisses, since he does this when I've just done something for him that makes him happy, and he also gives a little hug.

And watching him crawl. He tried so hard to learn this skill, and it makes me proud to see him doing it.

DD has been doing so much lately that im amazed, but my favorite is how she always says "Thank You" in this cute little voice, anytime u hand her anything..melts me so much!!

DD is now crawling and the look on her face that says look i am doing it! shes soooo proud of herself I just love it!!!

yay! how exciting

something that amazes me is the way my son talk to me, and the things he says. Sometimes he'll say something like "my pleasure" and my heart melts. I love watching him grow, even though he's growing so fast

James just started a new face this week. It is like but softer. He does this when he sees something new.

Claire loves to grab your face and put her face right up to yours! This cracks me up!

But nothing gets me more then when they laugh! Babies' laughs are the cutest things!

Brady has a walker that he loves. He is really getting good and getting around in it. Yesterday he started following me around the house. Where ever I went he followed. It was too cute

I love that Christopher understands me now...I say something and he does it and understands.

My favorite is when I say "Give me an extra special Mommy hug" and he wraps his arms around my neck and puts his head up to mine

DD is at a fun age now too (almost 14 months)

She understands so much. She was holding daddy's clean socks yesterday when I was folding laundry & I said, those are daddy's & she looked at our bedroom door & started crawling over that way w/ the socks (he was in there).

She said grandma yesterday for the first time (in that cute little voice).

She started saying "name" & taps her chest (we have her name over the changing table & I point to it & say that's your name).

When we say, give Gracie hugs & she puts her head on my shoulder & wraps her arms around us.

She is obsessed w/ dogs & gets super excited when she sees one/or even if one is on TV.

There are so many things!

When I nurse him after he isn't hungry anymore, he will look up at me with his big blues eyes and I will say Hi and he will smile look away, then look back and I say Hi and he will smile and looks away, then looks back and I say Hi. We do this for awhile. It is our little thing.

I LOVE him so much, it is AMAZING!

Oh and he loves his feet!
