Creating a lounge area in the kitchen as opposed to regular seating
We have a large eat-in area for the kitchen. Because we have so much seating in the dining room and plenty of bar seating in the kitchen I wanted to make the eat-in part a bit more "lounge like" I was thinking like a very low table and narrow but comfortable couches/benches. We spend so much time in the kitchen, and guests naturally gravitate there. I was wondering if anyone has done anything like this or seen any kitchens like that. Thanks!

Re: Creating a lounge area in the kitchen as opposed to regular seating
Our kitchen is *kinda* like that-- we have a large room which opens out from the kitchen. Previous owners had a little bistro table in there, but we just have it as a sitting room, with a tv, etc. We also have a bar in our kitchen and our DR is on the other side-- so, I don't feel the need to ever have a kitchen table. At some point when we redo the kitchen, I would open up the wall a little so it was even more open, but it is essentially one open room.
Our "bar", sun room is just to the left
