Re: Creations Early Childhood Learning Center (Sayville)

I had the worst time with them years ago when I first moved to Sayville. I didn’t realize they were a part time center and questioned them about full day rates. The woman was SO condescending and rude. She said “We aren’t a DAY CARE.. we are a learning center. We don’t watch other people’s children for them all day.” It just left SUCH a bad taste in my mouth. I felt kind of attacked for needing someone to ‘watch my child’ all day.

But I have heard that the program is set up nicely with an emphasis on learning and educational growth. They are in a temple, so any and all meals provided must not violate Kosher rules, but they do have an option to purchase meals on site.

I have no direct experience but many of the families where DD goes to karate use them and I have heard nothing but absolute raves.

My boss sent her kids there. She wasn't impressed. She said they taught above and beyond what they should have instead on sticking to basic things they would need for kindergarten.

I know multiple families who go there and they all rave about it. They're very happy with the entire program

For me, it was too much. I was looking for a preschool that focused on the basics- developing fine and gross motor skills, sharing, letters, numbers, following a class routine, etc. it was way too academic for me.
