crib and changing table - ORDERED!
yay!
We picked out a crib and changing table with dozens of good online reviews... but then the vendor came out with a newer slightly modified model (they removed the bottom drawer from the crib  ). I think the crib we selected will be discontinued soon.....
so Mom bought us the crib and DH bought the matching changing table.... we're excited!  Image Attachment(s):

heh, I hate to even admit it....
walmart 
and I never shop there! but this babymod crib was by far the best looking + most practical crib we saw. it's $315, got 5 star reviews, has a bottom drawer, and converts to a toddler bed....
our #2 choice was at target.... from their new 'dwell' line.
we didn't want to spend more than $600 for the crib + changing table....

Oh, you're not alone, I have been looking at target & walmart online. We am trying to spend around $300 or less, so places like Bellini & Behr are out for us!! Plus, who cares where you buy it, as long as it's a good crib. Does the toddler conversion have rails? I am finding most do not and that scares me. DH insists he can buid his own.

I think it does have rails.... there was no pic of it online, but all the other babymod cribs that convert have rails....
yeah, I hear you about budget stuff. In the baby bargains book, Ikea cribs have very good ratings and are really inexpensive... even less so than target and walmart...
since target and walmart both have customer reviews, I feel pretty confident that our crib will be decent.
loving ultra modern stuff is usually a budget curse....The 'real' crib I love is an oeuf crib (that costs well over $1k  )... This one is a pretty darn close to it, and can be puchased by us mere mortals

Even though ultra modern is not my preference, what you've picked is lovely! The clean lines and use of space under the crib is fantastic! Great pick!
