Crib bedding vent

I absolutely love my crib bedding (Wendy Bellissimo Vintage Teaberry) and it looks so beautiful in the room. DD is a week shy of 9 months and I just NOW lowered the crib. I know it's a little late but it really wasn't necessary until today. So this morning we lowered it. And my vent is:

My once beautiful bed setting now looks so stupid and ugly! The skirt is hanging sloppy on the floor and the bumper looks so funny so low. My point is I will never spend $$$$ on a crib set b/c it only looks "beautiful" for a certain amount of time. Once the matress is lowered the bedding loses the effect it gave to the room. IMO!

Thanks for the petty vent!

Oh yeah, the skirt is a total waste but you can't remove it cause then you can see the bones of the crib..

I have that same vent and I still went and bought a 2nd crib set for my 2nd DDChat Icon

That is exactly whay I am not buying an entire crib set for DD. I am getting pieces from Pottery Barn Kids!

All the $$ spent on DS''s crib set and now all I have left is a beige sheet!!

Thats why I never bought any bedding...a waste of money IMO. I am going to buy gorgeous big boy bedding when Noah moves into a bed...

Can you fold it over under the mattress to raise the skirt up off the floor?

You'll have a few inches of double layer on the ends of the crib but it may be worth it to preserve the look.

That is what I did. I store baskets of clothes under DD's crib so I wanted to keep it covered with the skirt.

My friend put velcro on the inside of the crib skirt and as she lowered the mattress she would adjust the skirt so that it lifted equally and neatly from the floor. Not sure if it makes sense the way I explained it but she was able to keep it long when the matress was high and short when the mattress was low.
