Crib question

I didnt go with the jcpennys crib due to the setup but I love one at babies r us. They said its not in the warehouse right now and I can wait for the call when it comes in. Babies due dec 1st and I wont really need it until jan due to bassinet but is it realistic for it to wait to come in? Did anyone go on a waiting list for baby furniture?

I got my crib 2 weeks before baby was born

We didn't use it all until she was a little over 2 months old.

We ordered our furniture kinda late (early Sept. - due date is 11/4) and it wasn't supposed to be in until close to Thanksgiving. The only thing I really wanted for when we bring the baby home was the glider. Everything came in early and they are delivering it tomorrow.

Did they give you an idea of when it would be in? I think it's fine if you only have to wait a little while after the due date because you're right that the baby will be in the bassinet with you for a couple of months or so.

they didnt give me a date. they just put me on a waiting list for arrival to the warehouse.

they cant give u an estimate of how long it usually takes? even if it takes 12 weeks it shouldnt be that bad if u r using the bassinet for the first few months. if u really like it - i would wait. did u at least have to leave a deposit so it is definately yours when it comes????
