Crib sheets
I am getting ready to put DD into the crib for the first time tomorrow night. I wanted to wash the sheet before she sleeps on it (MIL put everything on the crib while I was in the hospital so it didn't get washed before being put on). Well, the sheet felt like sandpaper. I couldn't believe how rough it was. Now, after washing and drying it, it still feels really harsh. The other crib sheets I bought as backups don't feel much better. Why aren't they softer? Are there better ones I could get tomorrow before I put her in there? I know I wouldn't want to sleep on something that uncomfortable and I really don't want to put DD on it either.
p/s - the sheet that is the worst is the one that came with the bedding set. Are all the sheets that come with the sets like this?

Re: Crib sheets
We have a few jersey knit sheets that are nice and soft. I also have 2 Waverly baby sheets thats are nice. The one that came with out set is a bit scratchy. DH who has fabric issues always says "You are going to let her sleep on that?"

Re: Crib sheets
We bought a bunch of the koala baby crib sheets, they are 220 thread count and pretty soft.
ETA: if you buy any, look for the ones that are in the plastic snap packages, that way you can open one side and touch the sheet to see if its soft.

Re: Crib sheets
I bought a crib sheet from Pottery Barn Kids. It's a chamois, almost velvety-like crib sheet. I want to climb in there with him it's so soft.

We have these sheets too and I think they are very soft!

Re: Crib sheets
I think cotton jersey or the ones from Pottery Barn kids are the softest. The ones that I bought to go with the crib set are my "company sheets." They aren't soft at all, so I only put them on when DD isn't going in, but we are having company. She MAY have slept on them a couple of times, and she's 17 mos.

Re: Crib sheets
I have the jersey knit ones that I got in BRU. The one that came with her set doesn't even fit on her mattress anymore, 1 wash and it shrunk.
