Crinone Vs. Endometrin Prog. Suppositories
Hi!
Ive been using Endormetrin, which is so messy! My Dr. said if I want I can switch to Crinone instead. I have read mixed reviews online and wanted to see what you ladies thought.

I personally prefer Endometrin. I think a panty liner helps with the mess. With Crinone, (tmi) i felt it clumped up too much and i know many times girls would have to dig out those clumps. I never liked that part.

I only used crinone so I can't compare it to endometrin... the only thing I found annoying was that you have to clean it out each day so that the clumps don't build up.

Hi. I have used both. I definitely prefer the crinone over endometrin any day. I felt like I was wearing a wet diaper with the endometrin even with a pad on. It was very messy.

See, I used Endometrin and I NEVER had that wet mess that everyone talks about. I don't know where mine all went, lol. But I used one in the morning and one in the evening and I used a new pantyliner with each application. Never had a problem. I've also used the waxy kind that Kraupner's made in-house and it was DISGUSTING. It would fall out, half melted, about an hour after the application each time. Gross.

I've never tried crinone but found endometrin pretty tolerable. I actually liked that it was a solid "pill" as opposed to a cream or gel which is just messy from the get go.

Crinone was too clumpy...gross! Endometrium is leaky wet but better than days old chunks coming out!

No. PIO is a shot. Endometrin is a suppository. The literature says they're equally effective; some doctors prefer you on one over the other.
I've done both (at the same time actually, at 5w pregnant my progesterone took a big dip). Endometrin didn't bother me at all and the PIO hurt like a b*tch and involved a whole ritual of icing the area, doing the shot, and then heating/massaging while marching in place to move the oil around. I'm glad that's over.

I used both Crinone and Endrometrin. They were both goopy but I preferred the Crinone. The applicator of the Endometrin made me spot brown and pink blood which when pregnant scared the crap out of me. The Crinone did not cause any spotting. I just used a panty liner until it was discontinued at 11 weeks.

Me too! Crinone would clump up and had to "scoop" it out. It would irritate the hell out of me and you're more prone to developing yeast. I know...gross. As a pain as PIO is (literally sore ass) it was so much easier. Most REs prefers the suppositories especially if you're doing a FET but I always said nope PIO.
