Crock pot chicken stroganoff
I made this the other day and it was delicious! I omitted the Italian seasoning. I'm Russian and those flavors just don't belong in stroganoff. Served it over egg noodles. Amazing!!

I have never used cream cheese in stroganoff. Have you used cream cheese before this recipe? Italian seasonal ng throws me off too.

I've never used cream cheese in traditional stroganoff, but it worked well in this recipe. I didn't taste the cream cheese. I think it just added to the consistency.

This sounds good. I hate cream soups. I made chicken and dumplings a few weeks ago and nearly puked when I opened the can of cream of chicken soup. Thanks for sharing!

I just posted this recipe on the crockpot thread - made it the other night too. Instead of the Italian seasoning packet, I used a garlic seasoning packet - came out really good.

This one is a little different. There isn't any cream soup in it. They probably cooked the same way though. The chicken was just falling apart. So moist and flavorful!!

This is currently in my crock pot. I'm stalking it, lol.
I used boneless chicken thighs because I've never been happy with chicken breasts in my crockpot. I mean I make shredded chicken for tacos with breasts, but I think this recipe needs thighs, IMO.
