Cruise Excursions - Bahamas - what do you recommend
We're doing a 3 Night Bahamas Cruise at the end of September. Ports of call include Cococay and Nassau.
Both of us are first time cruisers. I know I definately want to do a massage.
What excursions or things to do would you recommend. We're going on RCCL's Majesty of the Seas
Thanks

I look that exact same cruise! We really enjoyed kayaking on Coco Cay. At Nassau, we went to the straw market and took a jitney bus to the beach. Most of the beach access is through the hotels and they were happy to let us through.

Sounds like a relaxing fun trip! Nassau had a cute town right there to walk around - we didn't do anything when we were last in Nassau so I can't help you there.
I find that cruisecritic is a great site and they have a section just for various destinations so you can find those two islands and either ask or search for what other people have gone on. They also have a section for RCCL and you can ask tons of questions there. You can find anything thru that site for room photos, to menus, you name it someone there knows about it...
Have a great trip!

loved coco cay. great snorkeling. They sunk a plane and a ship so there are tons of fish. Its great too, lifeguards are far out in the water and they will throw fish food around you, you are seriously swarmed with fish.
nassau-since the snorkeling is so great at coco cay, I would not do it there too. We usually go to cabbage beach and get on a ski bob. Usually just make it a beach day.
have a great time!

Re: Cruise Excursions - Bahamas - what do you recommend
Thanks. I cant wait. I sell cruises all day long and know the brochures inside and out, know the specifics of a cruise ship (maiden voyage, godmother, cabin square footage) but know absoloutely nothing on what to expect or do.
I asked my boss in a big joking way "so what time is the midnight buffet"
Christine I'll definately be checking out cruisecritic.com. I am sure it'll help me with selling cruises as well. Thanks for that site.
YAY I cant wait to be on the ship

I agree, cruisecritic is a great website, very helpful. I've booked a few independent excursions after reading reviews on there and they were all great!

Well I think this site is much better than any of the cruise brochures so if you read this site you will definitely be an expert...lol. People on there are always pointing out where the cruiselines brochures are wrong or missleading

Cococay is RC's private island. My DH and I snorkled and relaxed on the beach. The snorkling there is great! They usually do a BBQ lunch on th ebeach. It's VERY relaxing! Nassau we went to Atlantis. That place is amazing! You can't use the pool facilities there, but we went to the aquarium. That was one of the best aquariums I've been to.
