Cruise to no where from NY in Jan or Feb
I haven't b/c they are usually not worth the price IMO. However, I do see that NCL has one for this weekend and one in Feb starting at $22pp which is an awesome price. Taxes and Fees are $$$. Comes to $228 for 2 people which I guess since it includes meals and a room is pretty good. I wouldn't spend much more than that on a 1 day cruise though.
From what I've heard about these weekend cruises is that they attract a party-type crowd.

Cruise to no where from NY in Jan or Feb
i just went on one in Dec, and loved it so much that we booked it for my parents for the one this past weekend. It's such a good deal, and doesn't attract a party crowd at all. There were lots of different age groups on-board, actually. there was always plenty to eat (food was OK. i've had better, i've had worse) we went to a few shows, the casino, and the club. it's a really nice night out, IMO

Re: Cruise to no where from NY in Jan or Feb
ive been to one in january.. its fine for a night out. u board around noon and you get off the next morning by 10-11am.
as far as the 29$/night..yes, its 29$ a night....but then you add ALL the port charges and tax, it ocmes out to about 150$night per person.. its nuts! if its for an occasion like a bach party/bday/anniversary... its fine. but for a reg night out 300$/couple its a lot.

WOW That's crazy! As soon as I saw $29 i was going to jump on it and book it. BUt those taxes/fees don't make it worth it. DH & I went probably 7 or 8 years ago. It was fun; but not worth $300 for the night. Food was ok; and you barely get the 2nd day. It's just the 1 night.

Re: Cruise to no where from NY in Jan or Feb
I know several people who have done them. Keep in mind you still have drink charges or food extras depending on the choices you make on board. It adds up. The people I know who did it...were celebrating....bachelorette party, anniversaries, girls weekend. With the port charges etc...it gets very expensive. They tend to be party crowds...as it is just one night...many on board are also celebrating or looking for a night away so it is more party than say your 7 night crowd.
