Crying All Day Yesterday
Yesterday was really hard. DH and I decided to stop the infertility treatments.
Last IUI (#4) was a BFN. No coverage for IVF and donor eggs is out of the question financially.
I'm 43, DH is 47. I think we are just too old and missed our chance for another child. I'm a jerk for waiting so long after DS was born.
I'm so thankful that we are blessed with our wonderful son but I just wish I could have given him and brother or sister. I worry about him being all alone when DH & I are gone.
Good luck to everyone here.
-M

Crying All Day Yesterday
It's tough. No doubt about it. Don't lose hope that it still could happen naturally.
And if it makes you feel any better just bc kids have siblings does NOT mean they will be close. In fact, sometimes it causes more drama...

Re: Crying All Day Yesterday
Awe, I was wondering where you have been! I understand completely. I wish I did not wait so long to have DC #2 and it may not happen for us either. I say keep praying and take your supplements! You never know what can happen when you leave it up to the big guy and I completely agree with the pp. I know people with siblings and it isn't always a great situation. I always remind myself of that when the sibling guilt comes into play. Hang in there!

I am so sorry :(
Me and my DH are both 41 and do not have any children right now. We have been trying for a few years. It's really hard, especially at this age b/c you always feel like time is running out. The thing that keeps us going is we try and not make it our focal point. We do our best to enjoy each other and are thankful for each day and what we do have.
Hang in there - you never know... at the end of the day at least you can say you are doing everything you are able to do within your means.

Im in same boat. turned 40 in Sept, SO is 49. We have been trying since last year- had some issues before that, that required freezing embryos before surgery. We are trying our best but trying not to take over our lives. We enjoy each others company as you said and thankful we have each other.

I'm so very sorry. I do feel your pain, we are in the same boat. I'm 40 and SO is 44. We are on our last IUI #3 with the insurance. So for us this is a big deal, kinda like a hail mary. Try not beat up yourself too much. I know it's hard.
