OMG!!! Thank goodness she's ok.

Can I ask you a question, what kind of dog is she and how did you do this? I have greyhounds and I just don't know how it would work??? I can't pinch their noses closed and I don't think my mouth is big enough to get it over their mouth and nose. You just got me thinking what would I do?? Thanks

Thank you!!!! So interesting. I would never have thought to do it that way. I would have tried the way you do it on a human and tried to cover their nose.

The site has a lot on greyhounds too!!!

Glad all turned out okay. My dog I lost last year of 15 years had episodes like this and it was due to heart disease. The episodes were called Syncope. Make sure she gets a heart workup, as that could also be the cause. Good luck! Enjoy her! They are so precious.

They have tests to detect hear disease and so many different meds. My baby was actually seeing a veterinary cardiologist the last year and a half of her life. But a lot of people mistake a syncope episode (which is heart disease related) to seizures, as they look identical. Good luck!

Good luck. I just wanted to share so you could mention her heart to the vet. At least it is something you could rule out.

Maybe it was a one time thing. I am glad that you had the heart checked. You sound like you are on top of it, so don't worry. Chat Icon

awww that is so scary. Good move on the cpr! My cat had a seizure once and it scared the cr@p out of me. I thought she was dead when I found her and her claw was stuck to her face from spazzing. So scary. I am glad to hear your fur baby is doing better!
