I can't hardly find mine, but I'm sure as long as it's not red or overly itchy (like if it was infected) it's okay.
How long ago did you have it done?

Re: csection scar - is your's raised a little?
Last time I went to dr. he said a small part of my scar was raised a bit...he had a name for it but i cant remember the actual term.
He told me to put vitamin e oil on it & it should help. I have been doing it, but I think its too soon to notice a difference (I only looked at the scar a few weeks ago)
i would mention to your dr the next time you go

Part is normal and the middle is sunken, where it had reopened for those weeks afterwards. Just disgusting.

YES I am 7 months pp and mine is raised in the middle, I asked many of my friends who had C /S and they said they had the same thing for over a year and then it started smoothing out a little, it takes time like everything else following C/ S I guess, so annoying

Mine's defintely still raised 10 mths pp. I think it also depends on how your body/skin reacts to scarring

Re: csection scar - is your's raised a little?
Mine is raised in the area that they started to first cut and i'm 6 months PP.
DD was an emergency c-section and i didnt have time for my anestesia to kick in so when they first started cutting i was screaming bloody murder because i could feel it all. So they started and stopped, then ended up knocking me out so they had to re-cut where they had started. I have a feeling that it's always going to be raised.

yipes! i had an emergency c too but thank GOD i didn't feel it. this makes sense that "part" of it is raised - how did you know that's where they first started to cut?

It was scary as hell but they had the light in the right position so i could see she had the scaple in her hand and was cutting plus i saw the blood gauze. Meanwhile the dr. was telling me she was just pinching!!

Re: csection scar - is your's raised a little?
No, not really, but it is still really prominent 11 mos. later. I just have a reeeaaallllly annoying "pouch" directly above it. It's almost like the scar goes in...hard to explain.
BTW, Liveagain...I know what you mean about the light being positioned in such a way. I could see "things" in the reflection during my surgery too!

Re: csection scar - is your's raised a little?
It took mine over a yr to flatten out the first time around. Second time, it flattened right away. My second ob inferred that the first surgeon made my incision too big. I think it make s a huge difference if you had staples. First time I did and everything about my recovery was bad. Second time, was so much better. NO staples, out of hospital in just two days, scar looks way better.

I would call the dr and at least leave a message for the nurse. If they think it can't wait until your next appointment they can tell you waht to do for it, even if you don't go in. HTH
