It's a Cat Scan of the entire abdomen and pelvis (for me).
You drink barium (yuck to the 10th power) and then you get scanned while they put some contrast in your veins.
I'm exhausted from the whole ordeal.
I think they had their heads up their butt.
It shouldn't have been that bad, but it was.
Supposedly you can see all of your digestive tract, the repro organs and lymph glands. It gives the doc a whole picture of your insides.
I'm hoping this will negate the colonoscopy.

Uggh, I just had a CT ab/pelv with contrast 2 weeks ago. I was hoping to forego the colonoscopy, but......looks like I'll be going on Thursday morning. I hate this!! And that contrast stuff they gave me for the CT was horrid. It had the most disgusting after taste. Hope you're feeling better though.

I haven't gotten the report back yet but I'm sure I'll hear soon.
I am going to try to convince the doc to go by what she sees.
If this test is so freakin wonderful then I won't need it. I don't have the time to take off work for this stuff. I think my boss is ready to kill me.
Work has been stressful so everyone is on edge.
