Cupcakes for school party - store them in fridge or on the counter overnight
Hello, If you've made cupcakes for your child's school party, how did you store them overnight? I looked it up and most people say to frost them tomorrow morning before delivery..but that's too much work since my dd has to be in school at 8 and she's only 4. Do you think it's ok to make them and frost them tonight and keep them on the counter overnight wrapped in foil, or should I put them in the fridge.

when I bring them to work, I usually frost them at night and put them in a cupcake caddy to bring. They sell them at Bed Bath & Beyond

I would store frosted ones in the fridge overnight. If not frosted, on the counter.

I've frosted them the day before and left them in an airtight container or cupcake carrier.

I wouldn't leave them out all night if you frost them. The frosting package tells you to refrigerate any unused portion and I wouldn't want to get anyone sick. I would either just frost them quickly the morning of (I did that for DD's participation day at christmas time - it only took 5 mins) or I would put them in the fridge overnight if you frost them.
