Curious, If you have a dog and rent a home/apt

If you have a dog and rent an apartment or house is there anything in your lease about them? Besides for allowing you to have one, For example is there anything about where they can go to the bathroom?

We dont have a lease but we were just asked to not let them in the backyard during the spring summer when he has his garde. other than that we are very lucky. I would want it in a lease if this person we rent from wasnt my friends uncle.

Yes. We have it in our lease where our dog can go and we rent out a house I have it in my tenants lease where the dog can go. It's not really too limiting, just common sense but its better to have it in writing so there is no issue down the road.

We have a note in our lease too, but my lease have 22 pages so I am not surprised. They love my dog though.

Thanks! I was just curious sine this is the first lease we've had to sign since owing our dog and there was a clause about keeping the grass green and where she could go to the bathroom. I was wondering if it was standard seems like it is!

Yes at my current complex. At my current complex is states you MUST take your dog to designated dog walking area to make and you must clean up after them. In our old complex it didnt, but it stated you must clean up after them.

We currently rent a house and have nothing in our lease about our dogs. My last apartment though, was the top floor of a house, and we had in our lease where they were allowed to go.
