Curious: What did YOU wear to your DC's 1st Birthday Party?
I'm sorry, but I feel like dressing up. It's not a fancy venue, but I feel like it's the holidays (12/26) and I NEVER dress up to go anywhere. Just curious what you gals wore.

Both of my girls' parties were outside in the warmer weather so...
DD#1: "Luau" in September. Hawaiian print skirt, top and flip flops.
DD#2: May Flowers theme in May (duh!  ). Floral skirt, top, flip flops.
Dress up! Go for it!

I have been thinking about this very thing!!
I think I am going to wear something comfy so I can get on the floor and play with her-- but still nice... Like maybe leggings and boots with something.
My challenge is that Sasha's party is at a place where there are no shoes in the play area-- so, I may need to rethink the leggings/boots thing.. but that is the area I am headed.

Lilly Pulitzer sheath dress.
DD is only 5 months old and I don't even think that I want to have a big party, but I already bought mother daughter Lilly dresses just in case

My DS party was this Saturday at a restaurant. I wore a black dress with a cardigan over it. I have to admit that during the entertainment I had to sit on the floor and it was a bit annoying in a dress.

I find that the birthday parties get so expensive...would do in a restaurant..but we are doing a baptism when she is 6M in March, her bday is Sept....do you do it in restaurants?

DS had a christening/1st birthday party. Last weekend. I wore this belted sweater dress to the church and the steakhouse where we had a party in the semi private area.

For DD's first birthday I wore layered tank tops, capris & flip flops. It was a backyard BBQ in August so I wanted to be cool & comfy.

Well.. DS turned one in the dead of summer, so I wore a sundress. I know, I'm not any help.

I'm debating on a tory burch tunic and black pants, the tunic has embelleshments so it is dressier, or leggings high boots and a cowl neck sweater...who knows, I had my outfit all planned but then the stupid snow storm came in and we all know what happened

well aside from the fact that im hugely pregnant and look like mama Maybel currently..i am opting to wear jeans, and a nice shirt..i have about 20 kids coming, and a clown and elmo coming, and im SURE im gonna be running around like a lunatic all morning, i want to be comfy..plus the place is casual.

I wore jeans and a nice sweater, but I had no time to get myself a nice outfit for her birthday last year. I barely managed to get DD a dress for her birthday last year!!

No clue, but I probably wore jeans and a sweater too. We didn't have a fancy party, just a small one at home.
Just as well--I do remember I was covered with frosting after the cake smash.
