Currency Exchange in St. Lucia
If anyone has been to St. Lucia, do we need to exchange USD for their local currency? If so, what is there local currency?

We used US Dollars and we went to a local mall. They also take our Credit Cards.

their currency is Eastern Caribbean Dollars. It's not specific to St. Lucia - a number of caribbean islands use it. When we went in January, the ratio was 2.72, which I think is fixed. We only changed a little money over there - and people were MORE THAN HAPPY to take American dollars.

We didn't convert - no need to. They were fine with American money, and only one lady gave us back EC money (Eastern Caribbean) when we were shopping at the markets
